In addition to providing a full spectrum of psychological services, The Family Center provides the highest quality of (non-psychological) services, further aimed to support and enhance the lives of both individuals and families. These services include but are not limited to the following:

 

• Educational testing; 

• Divorce mediation; 

• Family mediation;

• Personal coaching (also known as, life coaching);

• Parenting coordination, and

• Parenting Together, Living Apart Parent education. The Family Center's parenting education course, , fulfills the requirements of the Virginia Code requiring divorcing parents with minor children to attend a parent education seminar before their court appearance.

In addition to providing the highest quality of psychotherapy to individuals, The Family Center specializes in coordinating therapy with multiple family members, for the enrichment of the entire family. Therapists at The Family Center are highly skilled in marital and pre-marital couples counseling; family therapy; play therapy for both children and pre-teens; counseling for teenagers; group therapy; parent education; custody evaluation; and psychological testing.
